Build-A-Bear

Easton

Saturday we met Aunt Mandy and Uncle Tyson in Columbus at Easton.  While there wasn't much shopping done it was a great trip to visit and lots of entertainment for Ryan. First we just walked around and found a huge train track with multiple trains running on it. Ryan could've stayed there all day. Next Aunt Mandy took him to Build-A-Bear where Ry picked out a dog to make. After that we went to the water where Ryan drove a remote controlled boat and finally we let Ryan play in the water sprinklers.  After Scott undressed him he started walking to the water but stopped halfway through and started pulling his shorts down in the middle of the courtyard...he had to pee!  People were laughing all around us!  Scott had to carry him all the way to the bathroom in Barnes and Noble!

Newest Addition

Jessi and Tony (old friends, new neighbors) welcomed their first baby on Wednesday August 25.
He is beautiful and healthy!  Congratulations to the new parents!!

Cookies

Grandma Amy made Ryan a batch of chocolate chip cookies so since we were stopping by Papaw Joel's new house we decided to share. As you can see Camryn loved them!

Dresden

We went to Dresden to go to lunch with Scott.  Afterward we stopped by the playground. It is situated between two schools and beside the pool.  Of course Ryan wanted to go to the elementary school to play with all the kids at recess until he noticed the pool.
The girls slept in their car seats while Ryan and I climbed. I wasn't sure I would fit through the small openings but he kept encouraging me by saying "You can do it Mommy, you're a big strong man!"

Scott had some time before he had to be back so he went with us.

Overnighter

Camryn spent the night with us one last time before Ryan goes back to school full time. It was a pretty low key play date, which means minimal fighting and yelling!  They did wake the babies a few times and had every toy, game, car and book out in his room but they did help me clean it all up before Cam had to go home!

Outside playing and just being silly!

Snack time

Reese and Reagan watching very closely to their every move!

Tummy Time and big girl Reese

I put the girls down on their tummies each day for as long as they can take it (usually anywhere from 2-10 minutes).  Yesterday during tummy time Reese rolled over!  I was so excited and was able to catch the second time on video!  Tony and Jessi were here to witness it too!  I'm sure Reagan will be rolling soon but never stays down as long as Reese. While these type of milestones are exciting they are also sad because it means they are growing up and not newborns anymore!

Bye Bye Skunks!!

Yes...I said SKUNKS!  Last week when putting the mower in the garage, Tony saw a skunk! A couple days later they saw him again. Scott called the pest control man (who in my opinion has the worst job in the world) who said that skunks typically don't live in garages, they just get what they want and leave!  Well today the exterminator came and trapped not one but TWO skunks that had made their home in our garage!  When Scott asked him how long they'd been there he said probably since the winter!!!! GROSS!! I can't count the number of times that Scott, Ryan or I have been in and out of that garage.
Apparently skunks have learned to ignore humans and are more likely to spray another animal rather than people.  I also learned that skunks are very social animals and may have told their friends to come by and check it out!!
Scott says he didn't want to look at the trapped skunks but the trapper wanted him to identify him!  He said he can't get the image of skunks out of his head!
The next step is to clean up the droppings they left behind. Pest control told us that the scent/fumes are not good to inhale so either he can sanitize it for us or Scott should wear a mask while he shovels.  Not sure who it's going to be yet!
This makes the raccoons that keep getting into our trash not so bad!

Gymnastics

We enrolled Ryan in a toddler gymnastics class so he could have some "alone time" with Scott or I. I took him today and he did really well! His instructor Ms Lisa made many comments about his great strength, balance and not to mention good looks!
We practiced tucks, straddles, crowning and presenting while at different stations. I don't know much about gymanstics so we are learning together!
I didn't get any action photos because I was on the floor with him but here is the facility of Zanesville Gymnastics. I will try again next Saturday!

Aunt Helen and Uncle Al

Aunt Helen and Uncle Al came to visit on Saturday. They brought Ryan his birthday present and a gift for each of the girls which of course Ryan had to open as well!  Theres a few other random shots from the day too.

Headed to the mall...not so happily!

Westview...a.k.a. the "two slide" playground

Friday we went to Westview Elementary to play. It is Ryan's favorite because it has two large slides and lots of swings!  Elizabeth joined us for this trip as well.

Who needs toys when you've got boxes?

As we were getting ready for the yard sale Ryan was interested in not only his old baby toys but the huge box too!

DJ Ryan

Ryan likes to entertain his sisters and this time he wanted to play and sing to them!
Reagan laughing at Ryan

Mission Accomplished

My goal for the day was to get Scott's work clothes ironed, at least enough for the rest of the week anyway.  Well each time I put the girls down one of them started to cry so we went outside to swing and then it dawned on me. I should set up the ironing board outside since R&R love it so much on the porch! Worked perfectly!

Cousin Playdate

Ashley brought Camryn and Charli down to play this past weekend. Scott stayed home with Ry and Cam while Ashley, the 3 babies and I walked down to Jessi's for a haircut. When we returned home we found every toy in Ry's room thrown on his bed and the culprits were enjoying a snack in the middle of the mess!

Cam and Ry enjoying Scooby snacks!

Peace...yea right!

Abby's Mom, Karen, purchased these shirts for the girls (and also a matching one for Ryan) while on vacation. I put the onesies on them with wishful thinking that "Peace" would be in the house today!  Didn't happen!!!!

Reese and Ryan

Ryan was trying really hard to get Reese to stop crying but she wouldn't stop!  He didn't let it bother him though!  He loves having his picture taken with "his babies"!

Heath Water Park

Again we visited one of our favorite places, the Heath pool.  This time we traveled without the girls though! They spent the entire day with Jenny, Craig and their 5 children! Jenny really is  superMom!!
Camryn and Ryan...notice the tongue!
