Memorial Day

Today we spent a lot of time indoors due to the constant threat of rain.  However we did make it out around dinner time to play and grill out.

Ryan was up early ready to help Daddy with his work!

Ryan just drives right throw whatever is in his way including his swings.

Maybe this is why he drives through everything...he doens't use any hands to steer!

Memorial Weekend, Cont.

Sunday was very similar to Saturday only without all the visitors. Scott continued to work in the yard by planting flowers, Ryan rode his jeep and played in the water table and I relaxed in the swing and took pictures (when I wasn't giving Scott more things to do!).
I've learned two things about Ryan this weekend.  One...he DOES NOT like bugs of any kind and two...he LOVES his nipples!  He wouldn't walk around the grass barefoot because of the ants and he wouldn't keep his hands off of his chest!

He usually just hit the ball but as soon as I tried to take a pic, he smashed the tee across the yard too!

This is Ryan asking me to come get the ant out of his table.
The enemy!

Memorial Weekend

The first day of a long weekend brougt hot temperatures and more work for Scott. We got this great idea to get a pool for Ryan to swim in but that didn't work out too well. We picked the most level spot in the yard but it wasn't good enough. The pool wasn't setting up in the 10 minutes like the directions indicated so we took it back and bought a much simpler one!  It did the trick of cooling them off so Ryan and Elizabeth liked it just as well! Later in the afternoon, Chris brought Maddie and Ty over to play. They spent much of the time at the water table and under the sprinkler. Finally by early Sunday morning Scott finished his brick-paver patio for the new grill which we are firing up today!

Monkey see, Monkey do!

Ty enjoying a drink from the tarp!

Being asleep by 9:15 isn't unusual but falling asleep on the couch is different!

Another job well done!

Water Fun

It was definitely hot enough out tonight to get some of our water toys out.  First, we blew up a little water feature that we had bought last year at the end of the season. It looked really big and busy on the front of the box but once we got it out, it was not living up to our expectations. Ryan still enjoyed getting wet while we aired up his globe sprinkler that he got for Easter. It was much better!!!  The water went up about 15 feet and sprayed a good portion of the yard. Ry and Elizabeth had a ton of fun just running under the water and going down the slide that was also getting wet.
I hope you can see Ry's smiles through the sprinkles because he is laughing hysterically!

Ryan's baby pool.

Ry giving daddy a break from pumping up the globe.

Daddy getting sprayed by the hose...hilarious!

This is the sad face that we got when we told Ryan it was time to go in and take a bath.

Enjoying our backyard

I think we will be spending most of our evenings in the backyard!  Today it was hot enough to let Ry play in the watertable which most of the water ended up in the sandbox but he and Elizabeth really enjoyed making sandcastles!  Scott was also finally relaxing on the porch with his computer.  Since all I can do is lay around, I enjoy taking lots of pictures of Ryan to capture his big, beautiful smiles!!!!!
