Rolling Ridge Ranch

On Labor Day we traveled to Sugarcreek to drop the girls off at Grandma and Grandpa's house while Scott, Ryan and I went to Rolling Ridge Ranch about 20 minutes away. It is an 80 acre animal ranch which has between 500-600 animals representing over 100 species. We rode on the mile and a half trail by horse drawn covered wagon and held buckets of food for the animals eat out of. It was a great trip and one we will definitely do again next summer.
There was a line of cars waiting to get in. We waited for about 25 minutes before getting down into the ranch.

Ryan trying to hide from the camera.

The wagons we would soon board.

I was very hesitant to let the animals eat from my bucket at first but didn't want Ryan to be scared too.

Looking ahead at what's next!

HUGE water buffalo!!

Siberian Elk
More water buffalos
Water buffalo can stay under water for up to five minutes!

Ryan said the animal tried to eat him!
Texas Longhorn
Brahma Cattle...the hump on their back is called a dewlap.
Ryan liked the Alpaca and Llamas
